The Iowa Finance Authority staff and Board of Directors welcome Jeff Heil to the Iowa Finance Authority Board. Mr. Heil is Vice President of Public Finance in the Iowa office of Northland Securities. Mr. Heil has been a public finance professional since 2003, having previously worked with Ruan Securities.

HousingIowa Photo Governor Branstad and Lt. Governor Reynolds recently announced that $1,000 in additional down payment assistance is now available for Iowa home buyers through the FirstHome Plus program. A total of up to $3,500 in down payment assistance is available. Read more.

The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors recently awarded a $50,000 State Housing Trust Fund Project-Based grant to the Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity. Read more.

The 2012 Housing Tax Credit Draft Qualified Allocation Plan is open for public comment through November 22, 2011. Read more.

The Iowa Finance Authority's Section 8 Division recently announced the results of their annual customer service satisfaction rate, which indicated a 98% overall satisfaction rate. Read more.

The Draft 2012 Action Plan for the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development is now available for public comment through November 2, 2011.

The Iowa Finance Authority was recently honored at the 2011 National Council of State Housing Agencies' Annual Conference with the award for management innovation. The award recognized the Contract Administration Tracking system that was developed by the information technology and Section 8 teams.

Chief Administration Officer

Before joining the Iowa Finance Authority as Chief Administration Officer in September, Ms. Jensen gained 24 years of experience as a Senior Research Analyst in the Iowa Legislature. She has a B.S. Degree from Iowa State University in Public Service and Administration and a Masters in Public Administration from Drake University. In addition to her duties at the Capitol, Carolann has taught graduate level public budgeting classes at both Iowa State University and Drake.

Twelve water tower Iowa communities will benefit from more than $2 million in Iowa Finance Authority water quality loans to improve drinking and wastewater infrastructure.
